Christina Clauson | MBA, CPA Candidate

Christina grew up in Southern Oregon after moving from the Willamette Valley in 1980.  She graduated with honors from Southern Oregon University in 2010 having earned a Bachelor’s degree in business administration with emphasis in accounting, a minor in economics and a certificate in mediation and conflict management.  Christina then went on to earn an MBA from Southern Oregon University in 2012, at which time she also earned a certificate in project management.

While attending school, Christina worked for two multi-million dollar corporations first as a bookkeeper/executive assistant and later as a financial controller.  It is during the course of this work that she gained mastery of Mas90 accounting software as well as Microsoft Office programs.  Christina’s financial accounting duties involved the management of operations including accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed asset accounts, bank statement reconciliation and preparation of monthly financial statements.  Christina acted as personal assistant to the president, was responsible for hiring and training office personnel, and handled all of the major purchases for both office locations.  She was responsible for the facilitation of companywide strategic planning sessions, capital budgeting decisions and obtaining financing for large capital expenditures.

Aside from being a detail-oriented bookkeeping professional with eighteen years of experience applying financial and managerial accounting practices, Christina is a member of the Oregon Society of Certified Public Accountants (OSCPA) as well as a CPA candidate.
